F News 2.jpg

From the earliest days of the Methodist societies, Rev John Wesley strongly urged the Methodist people to renew their covenant relationship with God. In view of this, the first Sunday of the year 2020 has been marked with a covenant service across all Methodist societies likewise Calvary Methodist Society- Adabraka Accra.

The Presiding bishop- Most Rev Dr Paul Kwabena Boafo joined the congregation to mark this solemn service. In his sermon titled “Christ, the light to all men”, he admonished all that we have come into covenant with Him who is the way, the truth and the light. The life God gives us is eternal and it is a gift to us. Therefore we are covenanting with the God who is light, without Him we will be living in Spiritual darkness.

In view of this, The Congregation prayed saying “God of grace, through meditation of your son, you call us into a new covenant. Help us therefore to draw near with faith and join ourselves in a perpetual covenant with you, through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen”

Being the first Sunday of the year, The Lord’s Supper was administered to all present.
